A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things. This is TPM’s Morning Memo. Sign up for the email version. Biden Appointee Reinstated … For Now In a late-night ruling, U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb of Washington, D.C., blocked President Trump from firing Lisa Cook as a member of the Federal Reserve Board. Because, why not. And he claims “survivors and families came to me and asked me” to do it.
Oops. Someone let the genie out of the bottle and now they’re all nervous. Oh well.
Starting to think that giving the ultimate power on the planet to a fat fraud with the intellect of a mollusk and the libido of an addled hare might be a bad idea.
Unlimited money in government = unlimited inheritance monkeys in government.
“The President’s laws”??? How did a person this stupid get into college? The laws do not belong to, nor do they emanate from the President. The Congress passes bills which are then signed in to law by the President. Try learning a little something about our Constitution, you idiot. There are far too many morons running around this country today, and many of them are working for this administration*.
This may be more prescient than we know. At this rate, though Congress may or may not do what they’re told, what the First Felon wants is what the law is becoming.
SCOTUS will make damned sure of that, precedent be damned.
If you didn’t see her last night, find the full video.
It’s a shame that the press won’t challenge the Felon when he says stupid shit like this, and ask him WHO said that to him.
It’s not clear why Justice Kavanaugh indulged himself in this embarrassing display. Perhaps he’s so chagrined by critiques of the shadow docket that he simply couldn’t help himself. He has been assiduously trying to rebrand it as the “interim docket,” presumably to make it sound less, well, shady.
But there was a way to do this without disgracing himself and the Court. Indeed, Kavanaugh took a brief breath in the midst of explaining why Latinos are outside the protection of the law to opine that this case should probably be dismissed on standing grounds alone. That is, by finding that the plaintiffs here aren’t entitled to sue, the conservatives might be able to give Trump what he wants without explicitly endorsing racial profiling.
Kavanaugh could have explained his position without showing his whole hood, and his colleagues may ultimately seize that fig leaf when they hear the case in regular order. But thanks to Kavanaugh’s big mouth, no one will buy that ruse.
As Maya Angelou said, “When people show you who they are, believe them.”
And if the families deny having said it, they’ll be denigrated as being unpatriotic in the press directly by the First Felon.
I can bet there’s someone in the 9/11 victims’ group that might’ve requested it, but it’s not a sure bet.
I hear Trump is suing Joe’s Seafood and Code Pink for $3 billion, for interrupting his dinner last night. If only they had paid their 1st Amendment fee this wouldn’t have happened.
He just wants to sneak in there that after the Twin Towers came down he had the tallest building in NYC. And I’m willing to bet that the current WH’s art department will come up with some sort meme showing DonOLD’s bravery and courage by trying to save folks trapped in the Twin Towers.
“I’m not entirely sure this is legal to be teaching, because according to our president there’s only two genders … and I don’t want to promote something that is against our president’s laws as well as against my religious beliefs.”–unidentified Texas A&M student, objecting to LGBTQ content in a university course in a viral video that led to the removals of a dean and department head and the firing of a professor
Way to think for yourself, young person. I guess A&M has failed you in that regard, but you should ask yourself why you’re in college if not to broaden your horizons.

Putin ‘hits new level of hostility against Europe’, UK defence minister says, asks UK armed forces to look at bolstering Nato’s air defence over Poland
UK defence secretary John Healey is now speaking after the E5 meeting of France, Germany, the UK, Italy and Poland in London, responding to the overnight Russian drone incursion in Polish air space.
He noted the Polish defence minister “rightly returned home” overnight to be in Warsaw to coordinate next steps, as he paid tribute “to the Polish and Nato personnel involved in such a rapid and effective defensive.”
Addressing the Polish people, he says “as your Nato ally, we will support you; our Polish friends, as your Nato ally, we will play our part to help secure the safety of your people.”
He says he has asked the UK armed forces “to look at options to bolster Nato’s air defence over Poland.”
Give Trump 24 hours, he’ll have this solved.
It’s Texas, Jake.
His sister took his tests. I’m at the point now where I want t see his report cards from the NY Military Academy he attended.

The corpse at every funeral…
And I can’t wait until that’s not just a metaphor.
