In fairness to Sessions, he is on the far right side …

“This is a huge part of who we are and the left is continually seeking, in a host of different ways, it seems to me, I don’t want to be too paranoid about this, but they seek to delegitimize the fabulous accomplishments of our country,” he said as a senator in 2015.

DougJones vote to remove from all military facilities and installations the names of every soldier who fought for the Confederacy betrays the character and decency of every soldier who fought for the South in that bloody and monumental war…

I never would have thought it possible to use the phrase “Confederacy betrays” in a sentence without “Confederacy” being the subject of “betrays.”

Says the man who put people in cages. STFU, Dixie Pixie. Modern Republicans dream of the same plantations they had in days of yore, they just want white people working them too now.

Jones may be vulnerable (electorally speaking) but it’s good he’s punching back; this is no time for timidity from any Democrat, anywhere.

As a Democrat, Jones is who we need in Alabama.

Democrats need to understand that when considering a 50 state solution.

Confederate “decency” is a myth concocted post-Reconstruction to whitewash the behavior of the KKK.

Grant and Sherman should’ve rolled from Texas to South Carolina and wiped out every last one, but they were too decent to commit the same kind of genocide perpetrated by your “Heritage”.

Sessions: "…they seek to delegitimize the fabulous accomplishments of our country”

You do know that the Confederacy is not a country, Jeff?

They still don’t want to admit that they LOST.

Attacking the United States is treason. Do you see any statues or monuments for Hitler? But… If you don’t think slavery wasn’t just a different type of genocide, well can’t help you there, nor can my American Native ancestors.

actually, anything about sessions makes me laugh before I go sad.

TFW Jeff Sessions was actually right about something.

Sessions once spoke out about attempts to remove Confederate flags from pubic buildings.

“This is a huge part of who we are …."

I wish Tuberville would win the primary and Rod Serling make Jones over to be Bear Bryant’s nephew.

I’m pulling for Jones.

Doubtful. I doubt they see anything wrong with the original model, in which the white working poor could be exploited at will, but wouldn’t object, because they were still at a higher status than “them other folk”.

And as a bonus, that’s also where you get your goons and hired muscle.

Kinda hope Sessions wins that primary. Jones would beat him.

The only term Sessions left out was “War between the states”.

Sessions has been conflicted and compromised as most Republicans are now. But nobody gets a Mulligan any longer.
