Joint Chiefs Of Staff Chairman Privately Reached Out To Dem Leadership This Week

Trump doesn’t pay attention to polls and he won’t ever resign, in my opinion. Trump hates losers, and he’s not going to let himself be branded as one by resigning before the election. There is nothing better than being King of the World as POTUS, so he’ll take that chance, no matter what the polls say.

McConnell and the rest of the Republican establishment don’t want him to resign either, so there will be no pressure from that direction. They need Trump’s name on the ballot in November to insure Trump’s base will turn out to vote for all the down-ticket races. Nobody’s going to be excited to vote for Pence as the candidate.

I’m always almost more interested in the motives of the leakers vice what actually happened.

That we’re seeing a story like this shows how much on the ropes Trump is, when he can’t keep anyone in line.

Monday was a game-changer.

Need to look at the time stamps, because other’s have access to his Twitter account.
And while the country is trying to heal, they along with Trump are adding more fuel to the fire.

The best line I liked so far in this Lucian Truscott article is that we have no doubt, with the protesters, whether the voters will risk COVID or anything else to get out and vote.

This may just trigger trump’s big meltdown. He really thiks he’s king of the military, if nothing else. His “absolute authority” just isn’t.
Trump will act out on this information as if there’s no one left he can trust toperpetuate the big lie, and like all lies, big and small, when it gets challenged, it will collapse.
It will be his response to this, as much as this itself, that will seal his fate as the first President who resigned because he lost the confidence of the military.
But he’ll quadruple down today and they’ll all shake their heads and make the arrangements to make him resign.
Forty and two months? Gotta be close.

[Grinds teeth] Hate it when I step on my own post with a stupid mistake. Thanks for catching it though.

I don’t care who Milley called or who he talked to privately.

He refused a request to testify before the House Armed Services Committee—which is an act of insubordination so vile that in a rational administration it would result in his immediate sacking.

He must be forced to testify, and Trump’s permission be damned.

He’s issued himself a personal “stay at home” order now.

He refers to them as ‘my generals’, after all, implying ownership. So I think this will bug the shit out of him.

This should make Donnie meltdown…hell, he’s yelling at Drew Brees for admitting that kneeling is not disrepecting the flag…because by GOD AND BY TRUMP you kneel in church (which he wouldn’t know about) but you stand UP when the flag goes by…

He also has interest in starting a war.

This is marvelous. The stars are beginning to align, the signs are clear. Trump is finished and there are many who are going to go down with him. So long GOP. Too bad it wasn’t nice knowing you.

patience… These guys play the chain of command BS like a fiddle, but just until the strings break.
We, The People have stepped in to certify just where that chain of command really is supposed to start in the U.S.A.
WE are the boss, and refusing to tell the boss what they want to know or worse, misleading them, can only lead to one end.

Milley and Esper have already screwed the pooch and opened Pandora’s box. All the private fence-mending will never obscure the fact that they violated a foundational norm of democracy, and allowed themselves to be played for the most base of political purposes. The picture of them trailing meekly behind Spanky will be their career-defining image, and deservedly so. And, they’ve compounded their disgrace by refusing a lawful command from Congress to appear.

I think Melania will see to that - I bet she’s got an attorney on hair-trigger release so she can be first in line before whatever money he has disappears.

I like Lucian, but there’s a difference between (1) a commitment to vote (and help others vote) and (2) the will to stand up and protest (or set the streets on fire with adrenaline).

As former Obama aide Desiree Barnes said to the young people she saw on her block.

Meanwhile Trump is hurrying up and complete the dismantle of NATO like Boss Vlad demanded, just in case he has to leave the WH in a hurry.

True. But lately I am more concerned with domestic violence. I think a war would have to wait for a second term (perish the thought of either).
