YouTube has suspended Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) from uploading videos for one week after a clip shared from his account showed the Wisconsin Republican touting hydroxychloroquine and another drug as treatments for COVID-19.
Have to wonder if he did this deliberately. Infection rate down, doctors getting much better at treating severe disease and death rate is way down. So why? To get your name on the news and burnish your MAGA cred.
Given some of the proposals from authorities Johnson lionizes and respects (like intravenous bleach and rectally inserted UV lights,) leeches would strike me as a turn towards a relatively innocuous direction.
I suspect Johnson has been instructed by the Koch Empire to tease Manchin with the prospect of more massive profiteering under GOP misrule. Whether or not the credulous buy more hydroxy today, this sends a signal to Manchin about the rewards for distinguished service in furtherance of oligarchy.
Maybe I missed it, but there’s got to be some connection between a manufacturer/distributor of Hydroxychloroquine and members of the GOP. It makes no sense that they keep touting the drug when it isn’t even what saved Trump.
“Big Tech and mainstream media believe they are smarter than “medical doctors” (quote marks are mine) who have devoted their lives to science and use their skills to save lives,” Johnson said. “They have decided there is only one medical viewpoint allowed and it is the viewpoint dictated by government agencies. How many lives will be lost as a result? How many lives could have been saved with a free exchange of medical ideas? Government-sanctioned censorship of ideas and speech should concern us all.”
