Johnson Forced To Beg For Trump’s Mercy

More than a dozen House Republicans voted against procedural steps needed to begin consideration of three unrelated bills this afternoon in protest of House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) deal with Democratic leadership to cap upcoming spending bill totals at $1.7 trillion.

The arsonists are discovering that even after one of their own became the fire marshal, the fire department still insists on putting out fires.

Now if they can Johnson - their perfect true believer - who will they try to replace him with this time?

The Republican caucus cannot govern itself so expecting it to govern anything else is pretty much off the table.

And yet almost all of these imbeciles, cretins, mountebanks, and lickers of wealthy peoples’ bottoms will be reelected or replaced with even more degenerate degenerates.

Johnson assured listeners that he was keeping Trump in the loop. He said he planned to call the former president Wednesday to “talk him through the details of how to set up Covenant Eyes for him and Eric”

Johnson is weak and a fool. Only such a moron would beg Trump, who is a degenerate criminal for anything. Mikey is most definitely NOT a leader.

(sorry, I left out an essential word.)

Since there are no men in the Party MTG is the one.

In fairness to him, though, everyone in that caucus is in a weakened position because there are so few of them and some of those few just want to burn stuff down rather than govern.

It’s a side effect of the gerrymandering. They got to pick their voters; now they are learning just which voters they actually picked.

[Johnson] said he planned to call the former president Wednesday to “talk him through the details of” the agreement he’d reached with Schumer.

“Why should I help you pass Biden’s spending bill?”*

No one will be happier to see Trump crossing the rainbow bridge than his fellow Republicans.

OK. Well maybe I will. All I’m saying is he will not be missed.

Thanks for fixing that; the original version nearly blew out my snark-o-meter.

… but getting Trump on board with the proposal may convince the former president to tamp down any brewing rebellion, decreasing the threat he’ll suffer the McCarthy fate.

Of course, Donnie might just tank Johnson’s speakership because he can, he wants people to know he can and the looming danger and chaos entertain him.
This has to be the most arbitrary way of running democratic government I couldn’t have imagined.
