I appreciate seeing more of this analysis-type of article being highlighted on the site. It’s helpful to get more in depth context to the deluge of news coming out of this administration.
Now we just need to find a way to encourage more of the septuagenarian and octogenarian judges across the federal judiciary to retire. Then they can spend all their time discussing how judges should handle criticism, or whatever retired judges talk about.
The old farts can retire after January 20, 2029.
As for Roberts and his “concerns,” I offer advice from Mr. John Belushi:
“Eat a bowl of fuck.”
Roberts will need more than one bowl. I don’t even know where to start with this guy – Citizens United, Voting Rights Act, Routine Emergency Orders, Chevron and [add 3 dozen and puree]. He seems to be about average in intelligence but well below average in wisdom. But in his favor, he grades out 99% in brow furrowing and 97% in “looks like a justice.” So, there’s that.
