John Eastman Can’t Figure Out How To Do The One Thing He Should Do Right Now: Lay Low

Wikipedia says Clarence has 130 former clerks. So, 18 refused to sully themselves. I’m surprised the number was that high.

Hmmm. I read through that letter twice and I couldn’t find the part where they say Thomas didn’t take the goodies. Did I miss it? Anyone?

Seems to me Eastman believes his own bullshit. Like he’s drinking his own Kool Ade…

I’d say Clarence Thomas is doing a great job of attacking “the Court’” and its “legitimacy” all by himself.

… are simply all “part of larger attack on the Court” and its “legitimacy.”

I have an idea: The Supreme Court justices should stop doing things that allow people to question their ethics. Here are some suggestions:

  • Sever relationships with friendly billionaire right-wing activists
  • Refuse payment for public or private appearances exceeding reimbursable expenses
  • Stop accepting meals, travel, hotels, and other gifts unless fully disclosed
  • Provide a full record of remarks made while speaking privately to advocacy groups

That’s like saying that calls to remove a sheriff who happens to be a KKK grand wizard implicated in multiple crimes is an attack on law enforcement.

ABA accredits the law school.

Agreed. If they can’t detect the smell the corruption that permeates everything Thomas does, says, and touches - they should not be judges - and are likely to have already enjoyed (or look forward to future enjoyment of) similar “gifts” from “dear friends”.

But republicans WOULD see calls to remove a sherrif who was also a grand wizard as an attack on law enforcement. The grand wizard bit is a feature of this sherrif, not a bug that needs correction.
