John Delaney Goes On Fox To Complain About Warren’s Attack

Excellent snark. :trophy::trophy::trophy:
At least, I sure hope it is.

They don’t actually say that. You just read that in. Nor are they required to make a disclaimer every time they critique our esteemed Fourth Estate that there are Some Good People there. You don’t always have to acknowledge the 20% when critiquing the 80%, especially not in an Internet comment thread. We’re not writing academic papers for journal publication.

And again, as I’ve noted, you make these calm, measured responses rather selectively. Actually, what I said above? “They don’t actually say that”? I might have to take that back…

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a statement about the meeja more sweeping and un-nuanced than that. (Well, except for the one I’m about to quote below, that is.) One of the reasons you gave a pass to that one was “we both tend to state things in vivid terms.” Still, that looks a whole lot like saying that

– much more so than most others.

Oh yeah, that other one?

Well, that’s certainly, um, “vivid”, anyway. Try as I might, I don’t see any references to the “one in five”, but maybe I’m missing it and you can point it out.

And your response to me there?

Really? Coming after that? Here, I’ll quote it again…

it’s the MSM who is balls deep in addiction…mainlining the ad revenue that comes by throwing all journalistic integrity out the window and running with whatever abjectly insane counterfactual delusion-fuel Trump vomits and will get the most clicks and views. We could start impeachment tomorrow and instead of covering the largely boring congressional processes taking place, the MSM would chase after Trump’s latest mentally ill squirrel distraction like a faithful greyhound.

I will note in passing that you’ve been remarkably solicitous of the need for ad revenue in the past – while savaging a considerably more nuanced discussion of the media than either of the two quotes above…

Just for example. In the face of what I’ve posted here, that characterization is pretty risible.

Good. That’s not what I’m saying. I do wonder, though, why your ire is consistently not directed at just about the most glaring examples of what you claim to be upset about, while it is directed at considerably less, um, “vivid” characterizations of same.
