Joe Biden promises he isn’t losing it.
According to a Monday report by the Los Angeles Times, former Vice President Biden had to reassure his supporters about the state of his mind on Friday after he struggled to remember where on the Dartmouth College campus he’d given a stump speech several hours before.
Oh good, I feel better with him explaining this. Sigh…

It’s certainly not great optics, but Joe gonna Joe, we’ll all breathlessly speculate, and then the primary polls will wiggle around a point or two (or not at all).

How will we stand the irony if Joe goes on to lose the election because he’s losing his mind? Between the irony, the schadenfreude, and the weltschmerz of the Deranged Orange Dillhole era, we may not survive.

When you are explaining, you are losing. I don’t think Joe is “going nuts”, but he doesn’t look particularly vibrant, he was never a good candidate, and his “gaffes” do seem to be increasing.
All of that aside: @inversion points out the hypocrisy in media coverage. Trump says bona fide crazy stuff, and most political reporters shrug.
Dear TPM, why do you have it in for Joe? Are you covering the “mis speaks” of any of the other candidates? Doesn’t seem so, Fess up, you’re really working to get Fat Donnie re-elected because he’s such good copy. A return to normalcy just doesn’t generate clicks.

Biden on his gaffiest day is still a thousand times more coherent than Trump. That being said, this is concerning. Fortunately, we have a very deep pool of qualified candidates -all of whom would make much better Presidents than the current occupant.

I told someone this earlier, but excluding Ms. Yamiche joining the few who have essentially called him a liar, the press (more so the Americans) don’t see the guy spouting ‘mistruths’ as Donald John Trump, they see that guy who is the President of the United States…
Once Warren’s favorables VS Trump equal Biden’s you’ll see a change in the dynamics of the primary season.

Not remembering precisely where you were on a foreign campus you’ve probably been to all of 3 times in your life is not a gaffe. Ever been to Dartmouth? Yeah, it’s in the middle of fucking nowhere and you’re not walking around from giant plaque to giant plaque labeling all the buildings.
Because if it’s a blowout, they have nothing to cover.
