Mr. President please take it easy, I know you’d want to be around to see the next election results. We won’t let you down.

So nice to have someone so honorable as an ex White House resident. As opposed to the current squatter.

Maybe if the current squatter resigned, Carter would have less pressure on his brain.

“…he was helping build a Habitat for Humanity house just days after receiving 14 stitches.”

Trump: “Have you SEEN those dumps he builds? No gold lamé, no crystal, no marble. Sad!”

(President Carter has more class in just one of those 14 stitches than Donald ever will.)

Jimmy Carter represents the best of America’s values. A great man who’s led an exemplary life post-Presidency. I’ll bet he’s still greatly admired by people all over the world for his words and deeds.

A speedy recovery, Mr. President. Ever since I read your charming “An Outdoor Life” I can’t help seeing you as a kind of favorite if surrogate uncle, a friend and fishing buddy. So get your resilient self back on your feet and back at it. :fishing_pole_and_fish:

It’s a shame that men like Jimmy Carter are so rare.

This country could use a lot more people like him.

Best wishes to President Carter. Now if only someone would relieve the pressure on my brain…

I’m sure after such a long life, he’s probably ready to shuffle off this mortal coil. But at the risk of seeming terribly selfish, I really want him to hang on for a couple more years. If we would lose him during this administration, something in me would break worse than it already has broken.

What a wonderful man and wonderful life!

But please, no bell ringing right now. We don’t want this angel to get his wings anytime soon.

I hope he lives long enough to see the country he loves dump trump and head back in the right direction.

I have a feeling they will.

When it’s his time, I hope it happens with a Democratic President in office. President Carter deserves to have the full honor of the office restored before he leaves, and no Republican President can ever do that.

People like Jimmy Carter aren’t rare. They just don’t run for office.

Agreed. At some point Trump would just blurt out something snide or demeaning that would attempt to direct attention back to himself at Carter’s expense.

In the end, there’s nothing that Trump could do to diminish Pres. Carter, but it would be nice to be spared the noise he creates while diminishing himself.

I just hope Current Occupant has the good sense to keep Pres. Jimmy Carter’s name out of his mouth No. Matter. What. I don’t want him saying one damned thing about a living legend who is an American icon. Current Occupant just needs to stand aside and watch how greatness is lived and appreciated.

Beat me to it. Making my annual donation to the Carter Center happened to be at the top of my to-do list when I saw the news. He’s not only a good man, he puts that good into practice.
