We find ourselves in a time when the absurd becomes normal. The name Jim Jordan presages that nothing either of substance or consequence will result from his involvement. As for the committee’s efforts to tamper with an investigation – the committee seems to be on a path that could result in anyone involved under law enforcement’s microscope.

NPR has long been a top-tier member of the Media Whores Club, so whatever bashing they get is richly deserved. Why Democrats and Democrat supporters continue to cling to it as some kind of high-brow, trustworthy media outlet is the sort of delusional thinking often said of Fox channel viewers.

Yesterday’s much-hyped House oversight committee hearing targeting Twitter didn’t always go as planned. It turns out the Trump White House did the very thing that conservatives have loudly claimed (without much evidence) that the Deep State did.
Yeah but the Fox News crowd won’t care about any of this. The hearing alone is the proof they need.

I guess we will be starting our days for the next two years with breathless prose detailing the previous day’s activities of the Gym Jordan clown show. I watched part of it yesterday and noted that the Democrats are participating and their participation is more effective than Jordan’s team of 2nd rate performance artists.
Frankly I would love it if TPM just forgot about Jordan’s committee’s day to day adventures in self humiliation. Only cover real news.

Another good post as well by Heather Cox Richardson about the Chinese balloon. Republicans have once again shown their ignorance about national security during the Trump years. I hope they all get a nice lesson in school about what has really been going on.
