Short Bus person.
Nuts.
Deluded.
GQP.
I cannot represent myself because I am myself,” Beeks told the judge when asked.
This is a variation on the Barber Paradox, in which the barber shaves all those people, and only those people, who don’t shave themselves. Does the barber then shave himself (no, by the barber’s policy) or not (no, by the barber’s policy).
Also called Russell’s paradox.
Actually this is really funny, and makes me kinda like this guy in spite of myself. It’s clear that he took at least one aesthetics class during his actor training …
In semiotic theory, a representation is an image, as distinct from a real thing. So, this guy is saying that he cannot be an image of himself because he is the real thing. It’s very clever.
However, I am not surprised that cleverness was not appreciated by a federal judge … Methinks he forgot the courtroom isn’t a stage.
Re: The Andy Williams Christmas classic “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” Staples used the song in a very funny back to school ad a couple of decades ago.
Williams politics over the years went from friend and supporter of RFK to gripping about socialism during the Obama era.
Whatever happened to Claudine Longet? Poor Spider Sabich.
Now that’s just unfair. How is he going to throw it at their feet if they’ve already taken it away from him?
They’ve ruined one of his best scenes!
Well, I would never refer to people like Boebert and MTG as trash. That’s just low. No, I much prefer the classier phrase “garbage people.”
(Rereads story).
Never mind. They’re trash.
Jesus. That is disappointing. Christ.
The last time I saw anything about Andy Williams was when he was supporting the teabaggers and spouting the birther crap.
Since then if his music comes on I change the Sirius station.

Fox would love to sic that mob on Dr. Fauci.
I truly fear for Dr. Fauci especially when the Republicans get Congress back and they’ll to impeach him.
They can try, but that’s not an option, apparently.
Impeachment is a political remedy applicable to elected Federal officeholders and Judges. Dr Fauci is a civil servant in a non-political role.
Also, dude’s 80 years old. Not like he can’t wander off to retirement at some point.
So there’s this:
Should he retire, would the attacks stop? Would he still require security protection from the rabble?
I would hope the government wouldn’t just throw him to the wolves.
One, he needs a shave, and two, his hair has a lot of split ends. We’ll fix him right up. Have him sit in the waiting area and let Jeff take care of him when he gets back from his break. Offer him a small bottle of water in the meantime.
Nuts…yes.
Deluded…yes.
GQP…yes.
But please…can we refrain from using that other term? It’s a cruel phrase and rarely hurts the people that the user intends for it to hurt.
Yes… giving attention to this aspiring actor is nothing but a distraction - slowing down to gawk at a pathetic car wreck … it is not hard to see that the guy is probably floating out in the land of the functional but seriously disturbed …he is wayyy beyond “quirky” and has blasted straight through the station for “eccentric” … he is behaving like a loon.
He is like part of that apt description of the Trump M.O.
… the clown car rolls up in front of your house … 10 clowns pile out… set each other’s pants on fire … pee on your shrubbery…spray paint your mailbox…
While Trump breaks in your backdoor and steal all of your appliances, jewelry and cash.
Can we please focus a bit less on the clown car?
… and apply more resources toward the backdoor … because he plans to come through there again & the next time he’s planning to burn down the whole damn house.
I guess the questions are, is this actor insane, is this actor trolling the courtroom, did someone give him some lines to read (as he is still being an actor in court, that is his paychecks depend on this nonsense) or part/all the above?
The SCOTUS abortion hearing has a lot of weight behind it:
Abortion Trigger Laws: 12 States Will Ban Abortion If Roe Overturned (insider.com)
Absolutely love that the judge told him to his face that he was spouting nonsense. On the civil law side, we occasionally get copied internet garbage on pleadings submitted by self-represented litigants and, while it goes into the file, it’s not considered because it doesn’t make sense.
Yes and no. He certainly is the most sympathetic figure and claims to be doing what Jesus wants him to do. But crucially he rejects Jesus’ claims to divinity. “You’ve started to believe the things they say of you. You really do believe this talk of God is true.”
Judas from JC Superstar would not see himself there by divine appearance (in fact, that phrase doesn’t even make sense; he presumably means by divine authority as the headline says).
