Jeffries Says He Has ‘No Indication’ Cap Police Reviewed Jan. 6 Footage Tucker Carlson Plans To Air

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) said he has “no indication” that Capitol Police screened the Jan. 6 footage that Fox News host Tucker Carlson says he is planning to air, casting doubt on House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) statement that all footage will be vetted before being released.

Jeffries echoed that sentiment and stressed Sunday the footage “must absolutely be vetted” before it is made public.

Great. How to double the ratings in one easy remark.

Does Jeffries have any influence here? Has he actually asked the Capitol Police if they have seen it?

So many questions!

Why does the House have seemingly exclusive access?

If Qevin can give it to Tuckson, why can’t ChuckS give it to Maddow?

If it is OUR footage, as in WE THE PEOPLE, why can one outlet (don’t you DARE call it a NOOSE outlet) get exclusive access to it?

Does Putin shit in the woods?

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Is there no end to the questions?

Is there more coffee?

Here’s hoping that the house ethics committee looks into this…

There’s probably already high interest, and it may behoove us to be out in front as much as we can. The only thing missing are statements about what has been vetted. He also needs to keep saying that Carlson is a conspiracy theorist who is front and center in the lying on Fox. I can’t watch the video right now, so maybe he did.

What Tucks is hoping his staff can find are images of Jan6 participants who are wearing something that identifies them with ANTIFA as agent provacateurs.

What Tucks will not say is that anyone in these images could also be Oath Keepers or Proud Boy auxiliaries posing as ANTIFA……

The parallel to The Reichstag Fire* - for which the Nazis blamed the Communists - is almost too-obvious:

  • which Hitler seized upon to take full-power

Because it’s the product of a House committee.

So Minority Leader Jeffries has “no indication” that the videos were reviewed prior to release. Couldn’t he ASK the Capitol Police? Hey! Why doesn’t some reporter try to find out? Crazy idea, right?

It surely must be, because Old Tuckums has evidently been bingeing on these videos for over a week, yet nobody has actually checked into the “review” (or even “release”) angle. Or have I just missed it?

Yup. In a working media environment, there would be regular coverage of Tucker admitting to airing false conspiracy theories.

It’s hard to know, given McCarthy’s contradictory statements. I assume we’re waiting on more info from the CP.

What Tucker’s people are going to do is look for the footage of the “peaceful tourists just wandering around in awe” to show that charges are all jumped up and the whole thing is overblown…

These contrived things do not always work out.

41,000 hours (supposedly) = 4.7 years.

Ain’t nobody reviewed the entirety of that footage.

That did not happen.

Because we almost certainly would have heard about it?
