Just spit balling, but repeatedly asking questions like “did biden win?” just gets people used to the non-response. I think Rs have realized they can say anything and there’s isn’t ever a record-scratch moment. They’re happy to not say Biden won for as long as Ds like.

Many of the Republican Senators are mouthing similar positions in public while they acknowledge saner positions in private. Apparently, they trust that Clayton is privately sane.

Travesties like this process carry an after-scent. The stink on Clayton and Congress won’t wear off.
