Jared Kushner, White House senior adviser and son-in-law to President Donald Trump, on Tuesday swiped at state governors’ handling of COVID-19 while defending the administration’s feeble response to the virus.
Don’t want this to get lost: Jared Kushner on Woodward: “He’s got tapes of everything, I have tapes of everything.” Kushner says he has “tapes of everything.”
The only thing Kushner said that was of any interest to me. The tapes are of the calls with governors who were kept in the dark about what Trump knew and when he knew it. Turns out the entire month of February was wasted when the country should have been preparing. Kushner is too smug for his own good.
Jared…honey… we don’t have to wait for the verdict of history. All the governors who sucked up to Trump - Ducey, De Santis, Noem - completely FAILED their people and states.
I’m seeing Jared more and more out there publicly speaking for the Trump campaign. It’s a mistake because he comes across as a callow, robotic individual. I would say it’s not his strong suit, but all he’s working from is a closet full of powerless suits.
“This was an unprecedented pandemic and as different facts evolved, the President informed the public,” Kushner said on Tuesday.
Total bullshit. When Fauci made statements after getting more info he was thrown to the Trump wolves because he lied.
Trump never ever updated his knowledge of the pandemic. New information coming in did not replace outdated info. The only constant with Trump’s messaging was to protect the stock market at all costs. And those costs were paid with lives lost.
I don’t know about history, but I’m sure the forthcoming Congressional and DoJ investigations will show ‘who did their job appropriately.’ (ed.)
And, yeah, I think Jared’s got some cause to sweat it.
More stupid shit from one of the Keystone Cops. I’m sure Jervanka has plenty of evidence that he and his crime syndicate family have committed multiple crimes over the last 4 years.
So turn over your tapes Jared. Let’s hear it. Show Bob Woodward how it’s done.
There was a live stream interview with Woodward on the Washington Post site about an hour ago where he was asked about this and he didn’t seem particularly concerned about it.
