Trump should have already been arrested.
DOJ needs to to act now!

This will drive the coo-coo caucus aka Freedom Caucus crazy because they are all involve in one or more of the charges that were referred to the DOJ. Plus, there are a few senators caught up in the grand scheme.

This was a great present for the first day of Hanukkah.

But pace yourself – there are seven more to go!

Just Trump and Eastman? ETA: I see “unnamed others”.

Separately, Raskin said that four members of Congress will be handed over to the House Ethics Committee for ignoring the Jan. 6 committee’s subpoenas: Reps. Scott Perry (R-PA), Jim Jordan (R-OH), Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).

Which they’ll take veeeeeery seriously when they take over the House in a month.

Not a big deal for Trump, but Eastman will be totally screwed if they actually prosecute him, he doesn’t have an army of suckers willing to bankroll his defense, and no, Trump is not going to help him.

just weeks before Republicans take over the House and either disband it

I thought the committee had a built-in disbanding date. Am I mis-remembering? Wouldn’t be the first time.

We either put these motherfuckers in prison for life, or we stop the masturbation fantasies that “no one is above the law.” It’s complete horseshit if we let them get away with it, and is just fucking infuriating to people who are on the wrong end of the system. So the oligarchs either go to prison or we may as well burn it all the fuck down.

I believe the ethics committee is the one committee where there’s an equal number of Democrats and Republicans regardless of the majority in the overall house. This actually is a big deal.

Every potential Republican presidential contender in 2024 needs to have the committees report metaphorically wrapped around their necks. “Hey Ronnie DeSantis you were also pushing the Big lie that led to the insurrection, Please proceed!”

Am I the only one who’s disappointed that the committee didn’t name more names and recommend more charges? There was a slew of people involved in what was truly a vast right-wing conspiracy to overthrow the government. I was hoping for so much more.

Hope you have a Hanukkah Bush. I’ve heard Jews joke about it, but when our kids in the neighborhood were small and about the same age, we had two Jewish neighbors who put one up.

Trump won’t hire competent lawyers. He started to with the classified documents in Florida, but then back-benched him after paying him a $3 million retainer.

Like Manafort and others, look for a joint defense agreement funded by TFG. It is in TFG’s interest to pay for Eastman’s attorneys because A) there’s a risk of Eastman flipping and B) TFG wants to know exactly what the prosecution has on him.
