Sure there is, if that would tend to implicate you in a crime. Such as conspiracy to do the insurrection thing.

Would be nice, but all the testimony from 200+ people since the initial opening with the Capitol Police has been behind closed doors.

Wait. Won’t they be oh so Proud to stand up and say exactly what they planned to do, with whom they spoke and coordinated, and what they actually did, every one of them? Otherwise, won’t they be less than Proud, more like Chicken Boys, right?

True enough these subpoenas are for folks who let others do the dirt (especially Tarrio who was conveniently indisposed that day), but I have some hope that the members they sent in will flip on them when it becomes apparent that they’re likely to spend multiple years in prison.

The Proud Boys, its leader Enrique Tarrio,

Tarrio will more than happy to cooperate, in part to take a break from prison, and besides the guy is a rat at heart.

Some of the low-level folks have entered into cooperation deals, but nobody who would likely be able to take the conspiracy above the heads of people like Tarrio and Rhodes.

Until Rudy Guiliani, Don Jr and the Orange Emperor are subpoenaed I’m on hold waiting.

Is this like a bake-sale fundraiser with oppo- researchers and tactical gear laden hierarchical stacks?

Looks like these proud boys and oath keepers will have a hard time finding jobs after this.

I have a similar calculus. It has a lot to do with the time element, going forward, the people being asked to testify by Congress or LEO. For those people, delay is a welcome friend.

Ok. Self-incriminating testimony is out. So then, how about compelling them to testify against the other conspirators? Can we pit them against each other? Any Amendment against that?

We need the cops from The Wire to show them how easily it’s done with a big mac and fries.

Subpoena, indict, flip upward.

Rinse, repeat.

It’s how they bust the Mob.

A lot of that will depend on our success against Trumpism and the GOP. That is certainly on the minds of all Trump’s minions, high or low.

Don’t forget the belly-rub.

No, because that testimony would necessarily implicate the witness in the conspiracy.
