After several months of work, more than 1,000 interviews and plenty of high-profile legal fights, the Jan. 6 Committee will on Thursday begin a series of public hearings painting a picture of its discoveries for the public.
Just remembering that, as the article says, tonight is exposition, stage-setting; thus, there probably won’t be too much for those of us who’ve been following things more closely. I suspect, though, they’ll show some footage of the attacks that we won’t have seen before–and that should make a whole lot of folks sit up straight.
Not gonna lie, just glancing at the comments has me reaching for the Xanax.
This is gonna be a hard month. The worst part is that I have expectations that I know probably won’t be met, and I’m really worried about what that means going forward.
I’m thankful after a year of investigation we will get additional facts and testimony. It’s hard to have any expectations. Let’s see how it goes.
Republicans have pushed the bar a lot lower since the Watergate hearings and my expectations for decent news coverage of this is low but I remain hopeful the hearings will capture the attention of enough swing voters to make a difference in states where that difference must be made.
