Taking down the open insanity of the MAGA cult would be worth it for her and her husbandâŚthe things they are saying are going to make enough people turn against Republicans that they may just lose their ability to control the system. If Trump goes, odds are all but the true believers (a la Mastriano) fall into line with the Republicans who are working quietly to undo our democracy. McConnell and company want to pull that off in the shadows, Republicans crowing about their plan to overturn our elections and install a theocracy makes it harder to do it without people noticing.
Same goes for SCOTUS. Robertsâ plan to dismantle our democracy out of sight of the hoi polloi using carefully chosen cases that fly under the radar has been dashed by the Fascist Five who would much rather grab the power and run.
