So, Stevie wants to be the poster boy for flipping off the Jan. 6 committee.
I’m cool with that, as long as he suffers through all the possible burdens that come with his decision.

Basically saying the Congress of the United States has no authority. Time to show him there is plenty of it to go around in his case.

Badboy Bannon is going to be sorely disappointed to discover they only issue prisoners one orange jumpsuit at a time.

It will be interesting to see how many R’s in the House vote for their own authority, or for protecting their co-conspirators.

(CNN)The committee investigating the January 6 Capitol Hill riot announced Thursday it is moving forward to hold Trump ally Steve Bannon in criminal contempt for refusing to comply with a subpoena, as his game of chicken with the House panel now enters a new and critical phase.

“Mr. Bannon has declined to cooperate with the Select Committee and is instead hiding behind the former President’s insufficient, blanket, and vague statements regarding privileges he has purported to invoke,” Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson, who chairs the committee, said in a statement on Thursday.
… … … … …
Poor Mr Bannon.

I’ve moved on from pop corn to salted peanuts…

On Tuesday, the Jan. 6 Committee will convene to adopt a “contempt report,” which will document the panel’s efforts to obtain information from Bannon, and his failure to respond to the Committee’s demands.

Minority Leader McCarthy’s short-sighted decision not to seat any members of his choice continues to hurt his side. While Democrats would have retained a majority on the Committee, the vote would have been closer, and, who knows, maybe even failed to pass for some intransigent insurrectionists refusing to comply.

Why Tuesday? Why not today?

Does anybody know the timeline to “convene to adopt a “contempt report,” bring it up for a vote in the full House, refer it to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia to investigate the matter” and finally arrest Bannon so he can enjoy a cot and three hots?

Aside from being the right thing to do, it’s good politics. Virginia Democrats now more than ever need to see a determined Congress in order to be energized.

“Next Tuesday” is some real bullshit. Do it tonight. The contempt report should have already been written, since he’s been telling the committee to fuck off since the moment the subpoena was issued.

Let see who are the cowardly Democrats that vote against holding Bannon in contempt because it would not poll well among republicans.
