The Secret Service handed over a trove of electronic communications surrounding the January 6 insurrection to the House select committee ahead of the panel’s likely final hearing on Thursday, which will reportedly reveal more evidence of what President Trump knew about the violence that day and when he knew it.
"As the world changes, the forms of corruption also gradually become more cunning, more difficult to point out – but they certainly do not become better." – SØREN KIERKEGAARD
I am not an expert, but I’ll happily offer my ‘citizens’s opinion’ on the lack of oversight, and I’ll give it free of charge. It was part of a coverup by some of those in the Secret Service and other embedded trumpers. My opinion is strictly based on common sense, you could call it a ‘hunch’.
While my opinion means nothing in a court of law I’m confident it can be validated by continuing the thorough investigation of the attack and its instigators and enablers.
The Secret Service is so riddled with abusive, drunken, incompetent and negligent knuckleheads it’s a cinch a few of them were somehow involved in making matters worse on J6, if not outright part of the insurrection itself. I’d bet a bit of money on it. At minimum Tony Ornato should be zip tied to a chair and severely interrogated by a couple veterans of Abu Ghraib.
And, on top of it all: A federal judge has denied a request by former president Donald Trump to pause proceedings in a defamation case brought against him in 2019 by an author who said he raped her in a department store dressing room decades ago.
It’s amazing how many awful, unjust things just keep happening to this poor victim of a man, isn’t it?
The folks on the Trump periphery aren’t so much “rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic” as they seem to be deciding how close they need to stay to the lifeboats while the ship slowly settles.
How many US dollars would you need to equal $100 in TrumpBucks? For that matter, I wonder how many of these Trump IdiotNotes are needed to equal the money sacrificed for them?
