The House Jan. 6 Committee issued subpoenas on Thursday to five Republican members of Congress, including Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
So will they be take into custody by the Sargent at arms when they show up without responding to the subpoenas?
Members of the January 6 committee, I salute you!
Have them get served on C-SPAN.

I am but a simple caveman, but it seems to me that if these people are proud of what they did before, during, and after the events of January 6th, and if they truly believed that those actions were both legal and proper, they’d have no reason not to offer depositions.
But, as I say, I’m pretty simple.
Great news! Make them sit and answer actual tough questions about their support and encouragement of the violent insurrection and do it with with the entire world watching and listening to their answers. Actually it’ll be their non-answers, but that’ll work as well.

What happens when they refuse to testify? We all know that’s coming. And, again, at the risk of being a broken record: Every single Democrat should make an ad asking: Do you know what happens when YOU don’t honor a subpoena?
They will run out the clock. They won’t testify.
Waterboarding? Coz, you know, they all think that’s an okay thing to do.
I’m sure Gym Jordan is not wrestling with his conscience.
After swearing them in publicly (and recite for them the punishments for perjury.)
And call these recalcitrant focks “elites,” and expound upon all the inferences of “that” bad word.
The committee counted to 400 to pull the ripcord, at forty feet above the deck.
Some of them didn’t support such actions, until a few days later when Trump cracked the whip at them.
But he will challenge anyone on the Committee to a 2out of 3 falls to prove is is innocent.
