The Jan. 6 committee on Tuesday requested Fox News anchor Sean Hannity’s cooperation with its investigation and provided more details on his texts to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.
I’m curious to see how this will play out. If he dishes on the Trump insurrection he’ll become persona non grata with Trump and the true believers, but if he refuses it will put Fox News in a difficult position.
“Reps. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and Liz Cheney (R-WY), write that information the committee has received indicates that Hannity had “advance knowledge” regarding former President Trump and his legal team’s planning for Jan. 6.”
Hannity just dropped a nugget the size of Kenosha.
Also - jeebus, how much did Meadows turn over? His now refusal is the Washington version of trusting a fart on the way to work and now having to turn around and call in sick as your pants are soiled.
Ode to Sean Hannity
Aping urbanity
Oozing with vanity
Plump as a manatee
Faking humanity
Journalistic calamity
Intellectual inanity
Fox Noise insanity
You’re a profanity
Hannity
We cannot in good faith fail to question you on these and other
specific issues relevant to our investigation, which includes an investigation into the facts and
circumstances relating to the interference with the peaceful transfer of power.
Kinda sounds to me like “just so you know, the subpoena is warmed up and ready if you decide not to ‘volunteer’ your cooperation.”
information the committee has received indicates that Hannity had “advance knowledge” regarding former President Trump and his legal team’s planning for Jan. 6. Thompson and Cheney note that Hannity appeared to express “concerns” and provided advice to Trump and certain White House staff.
