Don’t tell me another witness had a family emergency.

Huh.

Apparently he spoke to the committee. Maybe his recollections suddenly improved?

Like Stepien yesterday, I think everyone they are calling for the public hearings has already spoken to the committee.

Perhaps Clark is trading in this (Feb. 2022):

Former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark made good on his promise and pleaded the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times during his deposition with the House January 6 committee on Wednesday

for immunity?

I wonder if the latest batch of stuff Eastman was forced to turn over has revealed additional material that needs to be considered and possible included.

Too bad Clark didn’t get the Trump vaccine.

Double huh.

Your article reference was published December 6, 2021. So, he’s met with the committee twice?

Maybe got a better set* of lawyers, too.

They’d be insane not to already know what they were going to say. And I say that as someone who thinks the committee is playing with fire by calling so many Trump people to testify live.

That’s actually pretty plausible.

Like a bunch of emails to and from Ginni Thomas?

"That would focus largely on Jeffrey Bossert Clark, a DOJ assistant attorney general who agreed to work with Trump to use the power of federal law enforcement to subvert the election.

I’ll just have reset the Tivo for Thursday. Yesterday’s hearing was epic. Just hearing Barr say (paraphrasing) “It was all bullshit” a dozen times set my tickle meter off the charts. Barr may be an SOB, but now he’s our SOB. You can bet he will be a star prosecution witness for any DoJ case against Trump or his minions.

Also, who knew Ghouliani was a drunk…NOT ! LOL !!!

This is either good, bad, or neutral for the committee and the effect of the hearings.

I’m going with what others have suggested: new evidence has come up that needs to be analyzed, perhaps additional depositions taken, and possibly some added to the hearing format to tell an even more devastating story.

A boy can dream, amiright?

The weight of the evidence coupled with the inability of the RW to do anything about the meetings might have put a real scare into those covering up evidence. Who knows? Someone might be making a last minute plead to spill his guts. :crossed_fingers:

Apparently the video people need more time to put the video presentation together. I imagine some new info, angles came to light.

Would be interesting to know if a few people were watching yesterday and suddenly decided that cooperation might be the smarter way to go…

The Post has a nice backgrounder on Mr. Clark this morning:

When it comes to many aspects of these hearings, apparently, you can run AND hide…

With all the discussion of criminal referrals to the Dept. of Justice, if DOJ doesn’t already have ample evidence and cause to charge federal employee Jeffrey Clark for abusing his position and unlawfully using public assets to fraudulently advance the interests of a private political campaign, then nobody in this sordid affair is going to jail.
