Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, with the exception of a brief opening statement, had to sit stoically Monday as members of the Senate Judiciary Committee gave their first indications of what they’d focus on when they questioned her.
I imagine she’ll spend plenty of time today biting her tongue while being questioned by the fascist assholes. She’ll do just fine, I’m sure she’s had plenty of practice at biting her tongue.

Lost in all this questioning and drama is the fact that Jackson is a black woman. And Republicans believe black women have no business ascending to positions of high respect and authority in this nation. They just don’t. Republicans just won’t say it in so many words.

I think it’s pretty apparent that Judge Brown Jackson will be confirmed, barring any antics from Manchinema. Having said that, it’s also obvious that the GQP is going to throw as much mud as possible at her. Disgusting but not surprising. Things will get really interesting if Biden gets another nomination.
I wish that yesterday when Marsha Blackburn asked her idiotic CRT question that Judge Brown had very politely and respectfully responded, “Honorable Senator Blackburn, I have heard the term ‘CRT’ used many ways. Can you please give me a definition of what you mean by it so I can properly respond?” Then waited for Blackburn to flounder trying to say what she doesn’t really want to say out loud. Would have made wonderful video and very nice opposition ads for Blackburn’s next race.
Then Brown could have given a nice response.
No big deal. The Party of Putin, pedophiles and paranoia is going to accuse like the Yell & Howell projectors they are. KBJ will not waste an erg trying to rehabilitate the fascist hypocrisy. As long as KBJ stays on the subject of judicial knowledge and experience, all will be well. She needs to stay “in her lane” in case these most honorable inquisitors end up in front of her as defendants.

I haven’t watched more than 1 minute of the hearings, but one thing I can see right away is that Judge Jackson knows how to speak to white folks. She understands the body language, intonation, trigger words, and tone to use. I don’t think the GOP can lay a glove on her and she’s going to get a few GOP votes.
And so far…she is staying strong and calm as a cucumber.
She is very impressive.
After listening to Grassley and Leahy back-to-back, I am VERY impressed that she has been able to stay awake.
