“Crooked Joe Biden’s errand boy Deranged Jack Smith is so obsessed with attacking President Trump and interfering with the 2024 Presidential Election, and is so sad that the Supreme Court just unanimously rejected his desperate attempt to rush this Witch Hunt, that he is ignoring the law and clear instructions from District Court Judge Chutkan, who unequivocally stated that this ‘case’ is stayed and there should be no litigation. Period,” his statement said.

It’s amazing to me that the justice system allows such insulting language dealt by a defendant and aimed at a prosecutor. In a neighborhood dive bar language like that would result in …“Them’s be fightin’ words!!!”
Trump’s lawyers will be forced to decide between caving in to the demands of their audience of one—who will likely insist on fighting to the death for the ability to present clearly inadmissible material—or acting like professionals.
Objection! Assumes facts not in evidence. Trump’s lawyers have not demonstrated that they are professionals.
I don’t think that SCOTUS turning down the expedited appeal is all bad for Jack Smith. The DC court of appeals is going to hear the case in about ten days. They will probably write a banger opinion crushing Trump’s insane arguments and issue it in mid-January. And then it will be foot-dragging Trump suddenly racing to SCOTUS to stop his trial (because as well all know, delay is Trump’s strategy 100% of the time). And SCOTUS might stay the case and hear arguments, or they can save themselves another opportunity to damage their institutional legitimacy by declining to hear the case. They could just deny certiorari and be done. This seems like a real possibility with a real chance of happening. And then…game on!
There’s a “dive” bar not far from our house. I stopped drinking 20 years ago but was in the bar to visit a friend. My neighborhood is by large majority Hispanic. When trump’s face got on the bar TV there was an instant chant of “PENDEJO, PENDEJO!!!” erupting from the several patrons in the bar. I smiled. I doubt gonnie would have the courage to visit that bar and those people.( my neighbors). I am, as a long time resident, very comfortable with my neighbors
War criminals, and grifters like Trump aren’t folks who wait around for courts to rule on motions. Good for Smith getting out there. Hopefully it doesn’t mess up his cases.
