Former superlobbyist Jack Abramoff has reportedly pleaded guilty to criminal charges and is facing a separate SEC complaint for an allegedly fraudulent crypto-currency scheme.
“There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.” - Jack’s former boss
Whoever gets ripped off by Jack Abramoff deserves it, and should be given a prison term for stupidity. The man is the most famous crook in Washington and people still wants to do business with him? All they had to do was google him.
No different than the former governor of Connecticut, one John Rowland. He served time in 2006 for various fraud charges, serving 14 months’ time, and then was damned dumb enough to commit different fraud charges in 2014 and do another stint in prison for 30 months.
I guess some idiots never learn, but I think these two (Rowland and Abramoff) went to the same academy, or something.
