The defacto FOTUS is right about one thing – the whistleblower did not have first-hand information and his/her identity is irrelevant to the impeachment inquiry now that their entire complaint has been corroborated (and then some) by first-hand witnesses – but of course that was not the real point in pursuing the whistleblower’s ID and threatening them with harm; that was about discouraging any further whistleblowing as well as in indulging in the usual gaslighting and gratuitous cruelty the Trumpistas crave.
The motto of this administration remains: Malevolence and venality tempered only by incompetence.
