Italy Nears Gruesome Milestone: More COVID-19 Deaths Than China | Talking Points Memo

ROME — Italy is on track to surpass China in the number of coronavirus-related deaths, a gruesome milestone that is being blamed on the country’s large elderly population, its overwhelmed health care system and the delayed imposition of complete lockdown measures across the epicenter, Lombardy.

Purportedly we are tracking with Italy and roughly a month behind their progression…early initial response here could put America in a dire situation over the next couple weeks…good luck all…

When Trump LIES + DELAYS testing because of his numbers and re-election, Americans get infected, lose their jobs and some DIES in a similar situation like Italy!

Follow WHO and CDC guidelines and FFS, stay at home whenever possible to NOT spread the virus and help flatten the curve!

I’ve been hearing 2 weeks behind them, but who knows, when you don’t test people it also keeps the death rate lower.

A little old, but probably still in the ballpark. On March 10th, we were roughly 11 days behind Italy. Two weeks is good rough estimate.

Due to our lack of coordinated national response, I expect to see differences between states.
