For all of his obsessing over leaks throughout his presidency, then-President Donald Trump himself was apparently the top offender, according to former Defense Secretary Mark Esper’s memoir, “A Sacred Oath.”
Elon Musk said that if his deal to buy Twitter closes he would “reverse the permanent ban” and let former President Donald J. Trump back onto the social network, undoing the social network’s decision after Mr. Trump’s tweets about the riots at the U.S. Capitol last year.
“I do think it was not correct to ban Donald Trump, I think that was a mistake, because it alienated a large part of the country, and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice,” Mr. Musk said at a Financial Times conference on Tuesday.

Every day it seems Musk goes out of his way to show us what a lightweight/baneful influence he is determined to be. Why does obscene wealth make guys obscene? You’d think money was the root of evil or something.
As disappointed as most of the country will be to hear that, I can only imagine that it’s even worse for Devin Nunes to hear. At least we can get a little schadenfreude out of that part.
I think the pursuit thereof is the issue. But as Robert A. Caro wrote, “Power reveals.” Perhaps Musk is just inherently skummy, and as he accumulates power, he flies his flag more prominently.
And he is a coward. In the “60 Minutes” interview he said he didn’t vote for either TFG or Biden. Cast his ballot for someone else. Or IMHO said “I don’t care who is President”
He’d been known to be this way for decades. It was known all through his term that he was among the biggest leakers. We really have to stop figuring every obvious, predictable revelation (really more like confirmation of open secrets) would have somehow helped. We knew everything there was to know about fucking Trump long before he was elected and we elected him anyway and it went pretty much like we feared it would. We impeached him twice, and nothing came of that either. Just stop with this.
