It Took A CNN Interview And A Twitter Fight For IL Gov TO Get Mask, Ventilators From Trump

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — At first, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker tried to play nice. He limited criticisms of the federal government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic and asked for medical supplies through official channels.

He, Trump, really is going to kill as many of us as he wants, and he don’t care.

Trump: a “business guy” who promised to bring back American manufacturing. For shit’s sake, he should have Boeing manufacturing them by now.

Approx. 55 days later after this Op-Ed by Ron Klain…it’s prescient!

”…the combination of Trump’s paranoia toward experienced government officials (who lack “loyalty” to him), inattention to detail, opinionated rejection of science and evidence, and isolationist instincts may prove toxic when it comes to managing a global-health security challenge.

“…greater White House involvement in managing the response to pandemics would likely mean greater personal involvement by Trump.

We know how that went and is going on…lying, denials, delays, illegal doctoring, boasting…turning the Covid-19 presser into a MAGA rally substitute!

Then there are the Greed-Over-People who advocates:
Ok to KAG (Kill American Geriatrics) for Wallstreet/Trump$$$

Furthermore, there was this Covidiot Trump’s tweet…
So now it is Ok to KAG for Covidiot Trump’s Re-election!

All told…we are F***ed!

Really???
Also, maybe it’s not a good idea to have the president in charge of so many things and put so many lives at his/her mercy.

Underlying this political dance is Trump’s tendency to talk about the government as though it’s his own private business. The former real estate mogul often discusses government business like a transaction dependent on relationships or personal advantage, rather than a national obligation.

“We are doing very well with, I think, almost all of the governors, for the most part,” he said during a town hall on Fox News on Tuesday. “But you know, it’s a two-way street. They have to treat us well.”

No, this is not how honestly run businesses are run.

This is how mob businesses are run.

Neither is a model for how POTUS should act at any time.

Drumpf is nothing if not capricious.
Yes, he has his self-serving priorities, but which is going to win whatever day is as good as a random process.
Someone could think they’ve maneuvered him into a hard and fast commitment, but, then, the previous evenings chat with Sean or Vlad could sway his mind in an unpredictable direction.
And when he’s called on it, the only thing that’s sure is that the bullshit and shifting of responsibility will flow fast and thick.

This isn’t a goddamned real estate deal

Dead bodies in the grass? On the sidewalk??

This is what happens when you put a child in charge of the nation…tantrums, petty squabbles, and favoritism rule instead of logic and data. This kind of behavior in a crisis is guaranteed to make things worse, the feds have been dragging their feet and bungling the response since the beginning, and it’s only going to get worse if Trump orders the nation to open again in April. People will die due to his incompetence, and that’s presuming he doesn’t completely unhinge in an effort to win in November and really screw things up.

That’s my Governor. Thanks for what you’re doing…

In other news, Donnie is threatening legal action over this amazing, totally factual ad…

Unfortunately, the ad will need to be updated daily to account for the sky-rocketing Trump Pandemic US death toll.

I love the quote from Nicolle Wallace regarding Trump trying to kill the “exponential threat” ad.

I’ve worked on 3 presidential campaigns and have a decent sense of where the line is - there is no case for taking this down - it’s literally Trumps own words - in fact, you could cut a NEW one after each WH briefing with Trumps disinformation and defiance of science

Nope he’s saving Boeing for the super secret plan of selling them the 737 MAX. A token of good will and faith as it were.

Newsom, usually a fierce Trump critic, has gone out of way not to lay the federal government’s failings during the coronavirus outbreak at Trump’s feet.

Oh, there’ll be plenty of time for that… later.

The president is the problem. All the struggling and pandering to his ego just to get the bare minimum. And then there is Trump’s disregard for the problem from the start, informed by his pathological megalomania. He should be tried in The Hague.

A glimpse of what’s going to happen in rural America is unfolding in Southold Township, NY out at the eastern end of Long Island.

111 have tested positive. Officially, anyway.
12 have died, including six residing in an upscale retirement community.
There is one hospital in the area and it has only two ICU beds.
