It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year: Golden Dukes 2024

It is that time again. As the year draws to a close, TPM takes a moment to reflect on those in political life who most excelled in behaving poorly, grifting boldly, and pushing the frontiers of misconduct out past where we previously understood them to be. For more than a decade, con-artistry and shameless, bizarre…

So many dukey people doing their dukey darnedest to cop a Golden Duke, so where to begin?

53% of white women voters in 2024 are the Karens who voted for Trump 3 times. They deserve a group duke at least, don’tcha think?

Scarification rituals are as old has humanity, but trends happen. A few years ago it was boob implants, butt implants, butterfly and Celtic symbol tattoos, and other forms of injecting, augmenting, burning, etching, slicing, etc. to attain perfect attractiveness to other humans into that kind of thing. Well, looking at Lara Trump, Pete Hegseth, Laura Loomer, Matt Gaetz, and the rest of the cosmetic surgery fan club, Mar-A-Lago Face, or the Marafication Ritual, has to be the weirdest trend this year. Even Elon Musk’s plastic surgery journey seems to have taken an odd turn, and he certainly doesn’t have to do that to himself.

If Mar-A-Lago Face can’t be a winner, it could at least be a new, and surely highly competitive, category.

This year is an embarrassment of riches.

I’m old enough to remember when politicians didn’t even want to be near this list, let alone compete for it.

Try Mozilla Firefox. It’s the browser I use on my laptop. Hopefully it avoids the garbage.

Firefox worked for me too.

I quit Firefox long ago. And more to the point, it ought to work with any major browser. This isn’t 1993.

Currently working for me with Chrome on Windows.

I’m all up to date on my browsers, and I don’t think the Dukes are written in Korean or whatever.

I was thinking more along the line that if you’ve changed your default font(s) in Chrome that this could cause display problems for some sites. If you’re using the defaults this is unlikely to be the problem, but it’s a thing for some people.

Times New Roman, Arial, and Courier New shouldn’t be causing any problems.

Nope, shouldn’t be an issue.

Never overlook the possibility that Discourse just doesn’t like you! (Hell, I don’t think it likes any of us! )

John Roberts for his appalling action allowing the Trump immunity ruling to go forward.
