We can’t bank on a vaccination, unfortunately. The WHO has just stated that Covid-19 may be like the AIDs virus–resistant to antibodies, but eventually treatable by medicine. In any case we are going to need imaginative, brilliant, transformative policy solutions that are effectively sold to the public. It would be very handy to have Elizabeth Warren as VP.

I think Donnie has already opined that some people just get special treatment, and made it clear in his policy around testing.
We can reasonably conclude that these considerations won’t be high on his ‘To Do’ list for a vaccine if he’s still prez’nent.
And I can’t imagine they’re spending valuable pre-election time preparing for that now.
Even if a vaccine for COVID-19 can be found, the virus will likely mutate just like the flu virus does. We could see a COVID-20 or COVID-21 that would require a completely different vaccine.

Biden can turn to the 69-page plan that was devised during the BHO administration on how to deal with a pandemic and quickly ignored by the incoming trumpites.
There will be a vaccine much sooner than this since so much of the preliminary work was started before the pandemic. Also there are many companies that already have the excess capacity to scale up. It is tiring to listen to these experts who have little imagination or creativity and no understanding of the manufacturing process.
The catch-22 is that Biden should come out swinging on that and a promise that he will mobilize industry via the Defense Production Act to assure that we have everything we need in short order…and yet, if he does that, it will just turn into an MSM bothsiderism shitshow as the GOP, Faux News, et al., go fucking ballistic accusing him of wanting to be a dictator and socialize the country’s businesses.
