They started construction in 2019, the initial “competition” to replace/update Marine One started in 2010.
On 7 May 2014, it was announced that the VH-92 had won the restarted VXX competition
Once again, claiming he did something that was started before he got in office.

“During my administration they ordered new helicopters.” Bullshit! He’s lying as usual. The contract for the larger Sikorsky VH92 for use as Marine One was awarded in 2014 before he took office for the first term. It took ten years to build the fleet, with inaugural flight by Biden in August 2024. Trump had nothing to do with this.
