Is Climate Change Finally About To Pop The Property Value Bubble?

Sam Berger defeats David Hirsch in Queens special election (nypost.com)
Hey New York Post
I wouldn’t exactly consider this hanging on
Berger garnered 2,447 votes, or 55%, to 1,979 votes, or 45%, for Hirsch, who also ran on the Conservative Party line, according to the city Board of Elections tally with 99% of the scanners reported.

Get the earthquake insurance now. Everyone buys it after the quake, but that’s when it’s safest earthquake risk wise. It turns into a pretty good scam for the insurers.

“Sunday night with MAGA ally Marjorie Taylor Greene at Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, where the pair reportedly shared their views “over halibut and diet Cokes.” Fish as they say is a brain food but some contain excess levels of mercury. Wouldn’t want them to become even madder in the head.
From webmd:
“Eating halibut can sometimes cause health issues. This is because halibut meat contains low to moderate levels of mercury . While the mercury amounts in halibut do not make the fish unsafe to eat, consuming it excessively may lead to some issues.”

Excellent contribution today in the Arctic Sea Ice Blog Forum “Flood” thread by Vox Mundi:
“Centuries End May Bring Annual 100 year floods”
Which discusses the actuarial method of stationarity:
“In stationarity, we assume that the patterns that we observed in the past are going to remain unchanged in the future”.
Property insurance companies have now realized that this doesn’t make sense.
I recall that about 4 years ago the European reinsurance industry group issued a warning about AGW.
We’re heading into the a real mess and with three months left in the year we’ve already broken the U.S. record for billion dollar disasters at 23. There were about 3 of those in 2000.

You know how Big Oil is being sued by Cities for climate damages? How long before the insurance industry decides to do that to cut their losses?

Fox hit with another ‘significant’ lawsuit over false claims in 2020 election: report (msn.com)
The New York Times reported Tuesday that among the investors in Fox was the New York Pension funds. They are now suing Fox and the board of directors saying that they had a duty to shareholders to be transparent about the legal crisis that came from their broadcast of 2020 election lies.

“The lawsuit, filed in the Delaware Court of Chancery, is the most significant shareholder action since Fox settled a blockbuster defamation lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems in April for $787.5 million. The city’s five pension funds represent nearly 800,000 current and retired workers and are worth $253 billion,” the report said.

CNN spent the better part of last week harping about Biden’s age. Now WaPo is at it. This is only going to get worse, until finally everyone to the left of FOX, OAN and Newmax is bleating he’s an infirm octogenarian on the verge of hospice. Dems in disarray!! I think it’s messaging that’s eventually going to sink in and cause problems for his candidacy.

Good Luck with that
White House Puts Out Epic Dossier To Try and Torpedo GOP Impeachment ‘Stunt’ — Demands Media ‘Do Your Jobs!’ (msn.com)

The White House has responded to the announcement of an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden by dropping an epic 16-page dossier demanding the media “do your job” and call out Republican “lies.”

And on Wednesday morning, Sams dropped a 16-page dossier entitled “It’s Time For The Media To Do More To Scrutinize House Republicans’ Demonstrably False Claims That They’re Basing Impeachment Stunt On,” which begins with a scathing cover letter that ticks through a litany of Republicans who have admitted they don’t have evidence implicating the president.

The “American Sniper” Chris Kyle was heavily armed when murdered: fully loaded hand gun holstered on his hip, standing next to a truck full of guns of different calibers and capacities (see the Police report), and was in a “gun everywhere zone” (firing range). Now his Wife is a widow, his children orphans.

Have they adjusted those for inflation too? I accept the increasing frequency of 100 year floods and other major climate related problems, but would the number in 2000 have been higher if we’d adjusted to some normalized value?
