Good news. We need every senator we can get.

That said, Grassley would have to be implicated in 1/6, for Finkenauer to have a chance to win.

Still, it was pretty lazy to do the bare minimum.

Good on Finkenauer. Now fire the campaign manager.

My hope is through this she got enough name recognition and adequate inertia to her campaign and of the right voters to go all the way. A pipe dream for sure but hope none the less.

She already has plenty of name recognition in Iowa. And this incident isn’t going to be helpful to her campaign.

Concur, good campaign managers need to prepare for and preempt the inevitable Republican dirty tricks. Not getting well-over the signature limit is pretty basic mistake for any campaign.

“The two other Democrats competing for the nomination are Navy veteran Mike Franken and physician Glenn Hurst.”

OK, now that we know all this, what are all these people about and do any of them stand any sort of chance running against Grassley? Actually, is Grassley running again? Who’s in the Republican primary against Grassley, if anyone, and what are their chances?

More relevant analysis, please.

Um, so Iowa is going to rise from the dead? Not while the GQP has a stranglehold.

I think it’s a mudra.

Right now? Nope (Democratic primary is 6/7 and barring a shock poll, Finkenauer crushes the field.)

Yes

Trump endorsed Grassley
