My county supervisor won reelection by 13 votes this time. Damn that’s close.

  1. Once again, whenever there’s actual voting fraud, it’s done by Trumpublicans.

  2. Just watch, somebody’s gonna argue “see, this just proves how easy it is, so we wuz right all along!”

  3. But the dumb eejits keep getting caught at it, so maybe the system actually does work, hmm?

Mr. Spooky, above, attempted to run for mayor of Attleboro, MA, but was rejected due to his age and because he’s not a registered voter. But he did not cheat!

She’s being charged with 26 counts of providing false information and voting, three counts of fraudulent registration, and 23 counts of fraudulent voting

Pffft. Smalltime operator. McCrae Dowless in NC-09 was doing low thousands of votes.

Is it too soon to chant ‘lock her up’?

What percentage of the cheaters do you think are caught? McRae Dowless wasn’t prosecuted until at least the third election (including primaries) he fixed.

Despite years of screaming voter fraud exactly 3 people in the entire state of Kansas were found guilty of voter fraud, all Republicans.

It’s notable that these are federal charges. Charges that the (Republican) County DA probably passed on, and a Trump USA would not have prosecuted.

Can’t someone support their spouse in politics anymore? /s

Missouri House [Republicans] decision on Wednesday to tighten the dress code for women legislators has sparked criticism and outrage on social media, with many questioning why no similar rules were imposed on men.

  • Voting multiple times by stealing other people’s votes
  • Preying upon the vulnerable, who trust you because you’re one of them
  • Using – horrors!! – “drop boxes” for your nefarious scheme!

It’s very sad that this woman will be let off with a warning(1). A Democrat would have already gotten life, or maybe even death.

(1) Based on many, many similar cases where a Republican or a Democrat is convicted of voter or registration fraud.

I’d be glad to hear any proposals for how to empirically measure such a thing.

What is clear, though, is that the overwhelming number of cases that do get caught vote-frauding involve the same set of folks who are always hollering about how terrible it is that there’s all this vote-fraud. There are (at least) two possible explanations for this:

  1. There’s not a lot of vote fraud, and the few cases that do occur are probably due to a couple people who are low on both judgement and ethics, and inside the RW propaganda infobubble, so they believe that it’s easy to get away with when in fact it ain’t.

  2. There is a lot of vote fraud, and it is easy to get away with, but the Dems are, for whatever reason, better at it than the Reps. “We’re both crooked but the other side is smarter than us” doesn’t seem like a very happy place for them to land, frankly.

Addendum Splitting the difference:

  1. There is a lot of vote fraud, but mostly on the (R) side, which explains the skew in the ones who get caught.

What next? Burkas? Hijabs? Getting beaten to death by the Sargeant at Arms for letting a whisp of hair show? And hasn’t Missouri already outlawed “sharia law”?

Ah, those burkas are a turn-on.

You folks on TPM will feel bad when the “Alternative facts” come out and she was doing it for love of Country.

I have won tax elections by five votes.

No one claimed fraud.

That was then, this is now.

but, it is ALWAYS Republicans who are guilty.

Except this victim of over zealous prosecution. Now being reviewed.

Funny, all 3 of the republicans who illegally voted in Kansas served no time at all.

Just pointing out the observational bias inherent in your statement that the dumb idjits keep getting caught.

It would be nice to know how this one was caught, but the press release doesn’t say. Given her M.O. I would assume someone ratted her out, but it’s also possible that someone in the elections office noticed an unusual number of absentee ballots from the same region in the same handwriting.

OK. Now you’ve done it. I have a Cole Porter ear worm, but since I have Ella singing the Cole Porter song book it’s her voice. Thanks.
