Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) — along with four other candidates — will meet on the debate stage Tuesday as a contentious back-and-forth over an alleged sexist comment from Sanders has dominated the headlines.
It does no one any good to publicly debate what was or wasn’t said about the electability of women to the presidency. I hope all of them focus on issues–health care, trade wars, climate change, Trump’s Iran lies, and what’s important to Democrats.
Then, on Monday, CNN published a [piece] about a conversation the two had had in December 2018 about their prospective bids, including that Sanders told Warren he didn’t think a woman could win the election.
That’s where things stand rolling into the Iowa debate, hosted by CNN and the Des Moines Register newspaper.
How convenient. Watch Tapper work overtime trying to catch candidates with loaded questions while demanding a yes or no in order to create Republican talking points.
Historically, Iowa has been Biden’s great white whale. If he loses Iowa – as I expect he probably will – you might want to step back from the resulting tailspin.
How does this not just make it worse that you covered it like a real feud and egged it all on by doing so? You basically just admitted to being fully aware all along that what you were doing has essentially been fake, shit-stirring nonsense.
Publishing shit stories followed by a glib acknowledgment that they’ve been shit stories doesn’t cut it for me.
Same here. You couldn’t hire me to watch these ridiculous game shows. I trust my fellow Democrats to join me at the polls and pick the right nominee despite this dumb “Dancing with the Dems” series.
