A county that is just about in the heart of the redneck area of Washington State. As the article states, “We just haven’t been as much down as the rest of the state because our workforce is going to work,” said Lilian Bravo, a spokeswoman for the Yakima Health District. “Physically going to work every day… ." … “I think what we’re seeing in some of these outbreaks, whether it’s a long-term care facility or a food processing plant, is that you get a lot of people together, there’s a lot of transmission, and then all these individuals go home and back to their own communities and infect others in their family and others in their community,” Lofy said."

Open Up, it’s the Merican way, Open Up, Get Back To Work the .01% need a new yacht.

My, it’s astounding, isn’t it, that it turns out that Covid behaves just like the experts have been telling us

Who’d’a thunk it??? :smirk:

In Stillwater, Oklahoma, they had to amend an order requiring people to wear masks in retail places and restaurants because of all the threats of violence.

An emergency proclamation issued Thursday in Stillwater, Oklahoma, requiring the use of face masks in stores and restaurants was amended Friday after threats of violence.

“In the short time beginning on May 1, 2020, that face coverings have been required for entry into stores/restaurants, store employees have been threatened with physical violence and showered with verbal abuse,” Stillwater City Manager Norman McNickle said in a statement.

The proclamation issued Thursday required, among other things, businesses to require patrons to cover their faces to combat the spread of coronavirus.

But on Friday, Mayor Will Joyce softened the rule to encourage, not require, face coverings, after several reports emerged of employees being verbally abused and being threatened with physical violence while trying to enforce the order – all in just three hours of the rule going into effect.

Yes, there were even threats made with a firearm.

I have to chuckle at Indiana’s reopening plan. It seems to be determined by the calendar instead of expert medical advice. Church services may resume on May 8th, just in time for Mother’s Day. Campgrounds may reopen on May 25th, just in time for Memorial Day weekend. Everything will be reopen on July 4th, just in time for Independence Day. In the meantime, vulnerable people are still vulnerable, and the virus is still out there and just as contagious as before.

He complains about so many hoaxes, it’s hard to know which one he’s whining about here. But I think it’s either Russia, or more probably, his impeachment.

Impeached forever, Donnie!

By the way, did you see the Aaron Ruper tweet that @mattinpa posted showing him waddling in next to the USPS worker?

Yikes! Trump is a sick puppy and getting worse.

Oh yes…this is the part of the state that ‘thought’ ‘I can do what I want! That damn Governor is NOT gonna tell me what to do!’ They even had the Sheriff of Spokane Country insisting dammit that he wasn’t required to follow the law! I feel sorry for the people that had to abide by these ‘lawmakers’ who told them they HAD to work, they wouldn’t be eligible for unemployment and were ‘essential’. All the while not providing one damn bit of protection for them.

These day to day workers can’t open up because they never did close. They don’t have the luxury of staying home and protecting their families from Trump’s pandemic. And even though a couple trillion was doled out to that very small percentage, the workers do not get PPE or work precautions to keep them healthy. So the essential workers grunt, and soldier on as best they can.

I agree, think of this, at just a 10 percent of pop infected those 3000 at the beach the other day had at least 300 beachgoers freedumbly spreading the virus.

Yeah, I saw that – he really looked like a real weak and doddering old geriatric home resident in that clip.

And yet the clamoring for full re-opening with no real plan to block the spread will continue unabated.

How long before the results of this re-opening results in the spike?

Wonder how many grandmas are going to end up getting more than anticipated for Mothers Day. Really, really awful.

For once I agree with Trump. If the GOP senators would have put partisanship aside then the greatest hoax in American history would have been convicted and removed from office. Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows. So it goes.

For gawd’s sake, Kudlow just lying and lying and lying…and Tapper gives him the light touch. Tapper is far from the worst, but come on. This isn’t about her emails or if one party has abused comity or decorum. There are 60,000 people dead and Kudlow calls it “ankle-biting”.

Tapper at the end says I could go on for 15 minutes about what you just said but I have 3 interviews and wouldn’t be able to give you the time to respond, which you deserve…blech!

This county is just a hop, skip and a jump away (as the F250 flies) from Bundy’s group picnic area. But this is not just social Darwinism, there are a lot of (mostly Mexican) folks who don’t have a choice, dig potatoes and sugar beets for their MAGA masters and, maybe, die, or starve.
