Corruptible people. There are lots of them.

That, plus $$$$$$$, is a formidable combination. But taking down Trump was never a social after the PTA meeting.

The people who are aligned with Trump specialize in misinformation. But even if this were not the case, misinformation is as natural to Trump as collecting unearned money.

Ponder how horrific it is that in the midst of all of this Trump can occasionally step back, draw a breath and philosophically say to himself
“It could be worse … Jeff Epstein could still be alive … thank God that I put that behind me”

Seeding fake stories in foreign countries so they can be cited by those countries, and then by our government - isn’t that what Dick Cheney did with the WMDs in Iraq?

In what I can only describe as ironic hypocrisy, Pence gave remarks today in which he said that the President was perfectly correct to investigate a situation in which a VP used his position to greatly benefit himself and his family financially. Has he looked at the Trumps and Kushners? I guess all their trading on the presidency for personal gain was and is just fine. I wonder what his cut is.

And he didn’t get in trouble, or even investigated, for it.

Whatever crimes the president commits, spew a counter-narrative where either someone else did it, it isn’t a crime, or everyone does it.

It’s all about keeping that approval number above the 32% threshold where a the senate will vote to remove after impeachment.

Despite the bluster coming from Trump-Pence today, Volker delivered some big goods to the House Intel committee and Ukrainians are speaking out about just how far Rudy’s machinations go back. I’m sure Rudy will confirm it all by 9pm tonight to remove all doubt. The entire leadership of the Trump gov’t is in on this and Trump’s and Rudy’s plan is to bind them altogether on it with the backing of the GOP base and sneer at impeachment in the face. No matter, impeach, impeach some more, make more criminal referrals. Break them.

He’s hoping Spankee won’t throw him to the sharks if he keeps playing along now.

Plus, Mother’s gonna be massively pissed if he goes down. So he’s gotta keep pretending everything is just peachy-keen.

But the thing about “proving” Manafort was innocent, how do they account for the audit trail of wire transfers between UKR and US via Cypress? I mean, he got the fucking money, didn’t he?

The Republicans only a few years back enriched the English language with the new terms ‘Swift Boat’ and ‘Swift Boating’. They have done so much for us.

I just wanted to make a comment about Josh’s latest editor’s blog piece about the texts between Sundland and Taylor. Sundland’s response that Trump was not engaging in quid pro quo and just wanted to be assured that the new president was serious about rooting out corruption comes across exactly like somebody who realized these texts might see the light of day soon and needed to be cleaned up. It’s like when I was teenager and I’d think someone was listening in on the phone and I’d clean it up with something like, “Yeah, we’re just joking. We wouldn’t really do that. Hey, can I call you back in ten minutes?”

Schiff: “Ambassador Sondland! Come onnnn down!!!”

Pubbies are really trying to glom on to Sondland’s comments as a hesaid/shesaid, conveniently forgetting about the “let’s not speak about this where it might get out.”
