I’m sorry for the people who will have to do the work. They will get paid, though.

But that $250k is gone, and won’t be used for any other nefarious purpose, and that is a good thing.

Talk about throwing good money after bad.

Good thing is she’ll end up with nothing.

Peters forked over a hefty sum of $255,912.33, the secretary of state’s office confirmed in an email to TPM.

So, I guess she has the means to pay a defense attorney of her choice when she gets her day in court.

That math works out perfectly: $5,000 for enough of a recount to show she’s still (and always will be) a loser, $912.33 for pizza and beer for a party for the staff at the Secretary of State’s office for their hard work, and the delivery person for the pizza and beer gets a $250,000 tip.

She’s a lunatic, it’s true. But she’s a very minor, minion sort of lunatic. I’d like to see more articles about pulmonate snails.

This is like shitting your own bed.

Then spending $250,000 not on a new bed, nor on a new mattress, nor on cleaning supplies, not even on new sheets…

But to call experts in, to verify that it is indeed…shit.

She’s blown more bucks than Jim Jordan during a halftime visit to the Milwaukee locker room.

There is no federal inheritance tax , but there is a federal estate tax. In 2022, federal estate tax generally applies to assets over $12.06 million, and the estate tax rate ranges from 18% to 40%.

Cue up the piteous “I’m near broke” fundraising requests for her legal defense fund.
