Lev Parnas, one of the two indicted associates to Rudy Giuliani, says Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) met with an ousted Ukrainian official in an effort to dig up dirt on 2020 candidate Joe Biden, according to Parnas’ lawyer.

Seems to me this is not a member of the House’s job. His constituents should send him packing. He works for them, not Donald Trump.

Can not say that this is terribly surprising.

Putin’s laughing his ass off. It’s a win for him either way. Either he gets his specific demands, or he creates chaos in Western Democracies.
I don’t believe if Trump is reelected in 2020 Democracy will end in the USA. We will survive and Trump will be gone someday. But what is evident with Trump as President and watching the impeachment hearings. DC under Trump’s administration is basically corrupt. It is laughable listening to Trump talk about cleaning up corruption in Ukraine. Trump has his lil mafia now corrupting the Federal Government. All these Republican’s are in on it.
Look at history. The Teapot Dome bribery scandal under Harding from 1921-1923 etc… The next President is going to have alot of chit to cleanup in DC.
He and McCarthy are in very safe districts. If the Hispanic vote got out, however, things could change.
That this was broken by Daily Beast, presumably fact checked by TPM, and then picked up by CNN, the Times, and the Guardian suggests this is both fact and has deeper layers. Nunes, in a better world, is toast. The pieces also appear to be falling in place for a RICO-style roll-up, much as they did with the Mueller investigation.
Devin looked a bit forlorn the last couple of days, I suppose he was ruminating about this.
The GOP reminds me of a jar of marmalade I bought a few years ago. From the outside it looked innocent, but when I opened it was filled with larvae and flies.
