The Trump administration will get a one day reprieve from having to reveal details of the timeline relating to when it removed detainees under Trump’s Alien Enemies Act proclamation — but there’s a catch. D.C. Chief Judge James Boasberg issued the order hours after receiving an insult-laden demand from the Trump administration to retract the deadline.…
This DOJ continues to exhibit petulant teenage-bully behavior posing as lawyering. Federal Judges better start some stern Parenting very very soon. Beatings and deprivation of privileges, too, might help.
So grateful for these Judges who are not going along with the lawlessness of this bunch of thieves and crooks. It is slow and agonizing to take this asshole down the right way, but in the long run, the whole point is that we are still a nation or laws…right?
Also, there are some highly paid Lawyers who really need to be questioned by the Bar as to their competence and honesty. Isn’t there some part of their oath that requires them to not be total ass kissing ,lying jakelegs?
As I posted in the previous article there’s no way this bullshit is national security. Ice is spreading pics and film of the operation and little Marco has been blabbing details. I hope the judge pounds the bullshit up their ass at 12:15 tomorrow.
Judges are realizing that giving in to Trump and his minions means permanently giving up their authority. Hopefully the Corrupt 6 six in the SCOTUS realize that they need to say “fuck no!” to Trump and not just giving him half victories.
Here’s the real question, and the one that I’m certain the Executive is clinging to: What the f##kis anybody going to do about it?
Why do we think he’ll listen to any judge - from Traffic to the Supreme Court - and what the hell would be the consequences of blatant disregard? The Congress is brought to heel - and is likely forever going to be the Dear Leader’s party thanks to some slick maneuvering over the last 50+ years - Law Enforcement belongs to the Executive… This is the very dark timeline folks, there’s not a single entity that can/will hold the administration to account.
The game sorta feels over, and “we” *(that’s us little people) lost.
the proper recourse for a party subject to an injunction it believes is legally flawed — and is indeed later shown to be so flawed — is appellate review, not disobedience,” Boasberg wrote.
Hmmm. Is it though?
I mean, there’s obviously exactly zero repercussions for disobedience, and you get what you wanted - so why would anyone bother with “proper” recourse?
And when, not if, this gets all the way up to the SC then Alito will pull out the opinion that King DonOLD is covered by the 16th century legal theory of the “Divine Right of Kings”.
“However, King Louis XIV had a very high opinion of himself. He considered himself to be the direct representative of God. He believed this gave him a divine right to wield the absolute power of the monarchy.”
“Louis is often remembered for the bold and infamous statement “L’État, c’est moi” (“I am the State”).”
tRump is The Sun King 2.0. All power emanates from him and him only. See the resemblance?
