In Wisconsin, Counties’ Patchwork Of COVID Orders Is Fraying

Stay-at-home measures hastily slapped up by Wisconsin county governments are already falling apart less than a week after the state Supreme Court struck down Gov. Tony Evers’ (D) order and left the state in sudden free fall.

This is entirely because the inmates are running the asylum.

Vos and his minions have shut down any alternative plans from the governor and now they are threatening to either say no to over a billion dollars in federal aid for fighting the virus or demanding a role in determining where the funds are spent (you know it won’t be for anything the money was intended for).

We haven’t seen the results of this stupidity yet, but it should begin to surface in about ten days. And when it does, Vos and his minions will quickly find out their constituents will hold them entirely responsible.

Please don’t go along with the Wisconsinites are stupid stuff - we’re not - we’re being overrun by morons who are distinctly in the minority.

We’re all gonna die. Well, people I’d rather stay alive will die, and the republicons will lie and hide the death count.

Could you do us all a favor and keep your friends and family out of our bars? There are more MN license plates in my border town than there are locals… LOL!!!

I’ve said from the beginning - I’d rather be part of the control group than part of the experimental group. They’re welcome to their stupidity, but just stay away from me.

Applies to any state that took it upon themselves to buck the system, and the question is the same.

It gives me no pleasure to post this assessment of the state that produced Bob LaFollette: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/may/19/wisconsin-coronavirus-supreme-court-failed-state

I mentioned this earlier - we just voted one of the conservative judges of the SC off the bench. Unfortunately, for us, the winner doesn’t take the bench until August - this all would’ve had a different outcome, were it immediate.

In a nutshell.

" The court’s conservative majority has shown no hesitation in imposing its ideology on the state. As Akela Lacy reported in the Intercept, they have been denying the rights of unionized workers, ruling consistently against criminal defendants, and even overturning a rule banning people from carrying weapons on public buses."

“forced to repeal their mandates due to legal concerns” is shorthand for “we’ll get our sorry arses sued for this someday if someone important with money dies because of it” …
This really will start a whole new class of class action lawsuits.
And the proof will be traceable, which may be why they don;t want to do tracing or testing in the first place.
There is no doubt, somewhere along the way they realized their bad decisions might represent legal liability, but it may be too late already. The frothing foamers have done their damage already and the 14 day clocks are ticking time-bombs.
Anyone who kept organizing after it was evident it wa no hoax should be held liable for their negligence and damages.

Lena and Ole?

Occupied countries had challenges which, although not consisting of a deadly virus, DID feature having to tolerate brutes, weapons and fascism.

PLEASE, Wisconsin, treat this as a doable task and do not despair.

(1) follow your protocols
(2) stay away from yay-hoos
(3) protect yourselves
(4) interface and interconnect with like-minded people
