Hello it’s the weekend. This is The Weekender Secretary of State Marco Rubio started the day Friday by announcing that the United States might walk away from negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. “If it is not possible to end the war in Ukraine, we need to move on,” he told reporters while…
The drummer for The New Pornographers just got arrested for child porn. Didn’t realize the band name was not literal.
So, Donnie’s claim that he could end the Ukraine/Russian war within 24 hours was a lie??? I am shocked, shocked I tell ya! Rubio is a jellyfish.
Trump used Russian pressure to extract mineral concessions from Ukraine. Since he now has material gain he no longer cares whether that war ends or not. Besides, Putin has embarrassed him by so blatantly leading him around by the nose and not making Trump look good by at least pretending to have a ceasefire.
Also, this is costing American companies business in Europe and his donors are complaining to him about it.
He needs the country to focus on something else.
Do I have the gist?
Leo Terrell: “Democrats are jealous of President Trump! Moreover, they are extremely jealous of Trump’s popularity with the American people!”
WHO knew there was yet another Republican appointee who is looking to climb the Assholiness Index leader board.
Members of the U.S. embassy there told him that they have not received any request from the Trump administration to return him.
Only a fool or a MAGAt would expect otherwise.
It’s hard to describe this behavior without sounding hysterical. The country is being run by people who
at least want to appearARE amused by the suffering of a man they accidentally sent to a gulag.

Crimea is part of Ukraine
Russia stole it
Trump wants Russia to keep it.
Trump supports theft.
Michigan state Rep. Julie Brixie (D-Meridian Township,) stood up and announced on the House floor that she had just come from the parking ramp that representatives use and a black BMW had its hood open, lights on and engine running. Security footage later released by House Republicans shows Brixie plastic-wrapping that vehicle, which belonged to Rep. Matt Maddock (R-Milford).
Brixie told multiple media outlets Thursday that Maddock’s car had been parked partially in her spot.
“My good colleague from the 51st district parked in two spots, including mine, to make sure no one hit his fancy car. I Saran wrapped it to give it an extra layer of protection,” Brixie said in a statement to media outlets.
Sure, and in all of this time, the administration has yet to produce a dram of evidence that their assertions about Kilmar Garcfia are accurate.
Not a dram, just more unsupported words.
The incessant lying is exhausting. I sat with an older lady last night who asked why people are making such a fuss about a vicious gang member. When I told her there was no evidence showing he is a gang member and that the issue was lack of due process. Her responses were that Trump would not say he was a gang member unless he was and she was pretty sure the constitution did not mandate due process for illegal aliens.
Exhausting.
Of course foreigners are subject to our laws and constitution. If not, I guess crimes would be OK
Apparently, Supreme Court decision from overnight was unusual. Thread.
Well, I hope she used the brand-name good stuff; you don’t want to be wrapping an expensive BMer in that house-brand cheap-shit.
But Bravo to Brixie for having the foresight to keep a roll handy.
"announcing that the United States might walk away from negotiations to end the war in Ukraine".
Well, no Nobel Peace prize for you, Mister Trump!
"RFK Jr. intends to discover “what has caused the autism epidemic” by September."
So we can be assured that he’s already decided on his scapegoat “source” and needs the two months or so to build up the PR campaign. Amiraite?
That depends how you “hit him on immigration.” Americans, on the whole don’t seem to like immigrants for the most part. If they did then Trump wouldn’t be getting approval here. You could say he’s weak on immigration and denigrate his thuggish, fascist-like approach, but then what? Dems have propounded solutions before, some good ones, to no avail. It’s not so much hit them where they’re weak, but disable their political lever. As long as they feel they have leverage, Republicans are going to use it.
