I guess on a positive note, he’s so busy retributioning that he can’t stay focused on invading Venezuela.

I’ll put a pin in that and, from my associations:
Colombian President Gustavo Petro has accused the United States of acting against Venezuela for oil and not for anti-drug trafficking purposes. This accusation came in early October 2025, following a series of deadly U.S. strikes on boats in the Caribbean that the U.S. claimed were carrying illegal drugs. Oh, yeah, and the memory of how proud Donnie was that US soldiers in Syria had seized, and were holding, oil well(s) during his first go round.

I’ve come to realize that it’ll never be over. This form of politics appeals to a very dark part of the human psyche. You’re working with the same basic building blocks and as long as people are willing to conjure this kind of politics against their fellows it will always be here.

And yet, the moment the election is declared for a Democratic President, all will be forgotten. Every misstatement, every incident in the past that can be distorted … and every current action will be scrutinized and roundly condemned by all. Speculations about the next election and “viable” candidates will flood the media.
Meanwhile, back on Planet Hell where we now reside, each acceptance by the plastic media of trump’s latest leads inevitably and predictably to even worse behavior afterwards. They never learn, and so don’t we.
