Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky walked right into the lion’s den Tuesday, a meeting with President Trump coinciding with an explosive impeachment inquiry related to Trump’s interactions with the leader.

I expect it could probably be proven with facts and figures that no American President has ever been weaker facing a foreign head of state than Trump is, in this meeting.
I´m sure talking to Trump right about now is a real blast.
I mean, not that it ever is, I´m sure, but he´s under a tad more stress than usual.
And the translator should get combat pay for trying to make his words cohere into some understandable form.

Trump might funnel some of his wall money that he’s taken from defense in order to buy some cooperation and confirmation that he did nothing wrong at all.
Notice that Mrs. Zelenskaya is much more beautiful than surgery-fiend Mannequin Melania. Trump ought to be ashamed.
Will there be an official real-time transcript of this meeting too? I wouldn’t count on it. Don’t know why but this feels like I’m watching tRump in Helsinki trying to privately get his story straight all over again. tRump wants to get this all smoothed out with the new Ukrainian leader ahead of the shitstorm to soon follow apparently. What incredibly weird timing.
So what? Trump is a clown by nature.
All this means is that Zelensky is naive and inexperienced.
However, since Ukraine has decided “independently” to “reopen” the investigation of the company that Hunter Biden once worked for, he probably felt he had to show up, just to ensure the $$$ keep rolling in.
We have a president that was a reality show star, and boy he is not only inexperienced, but unteachable and ignorant beyond redemption.
The test will be if Alaskans wake up to the Ukrainian flag flying over the statehouse in Juneau.

If I were Zelenski, I would try to humor him as long as possible without doing much of anything substantive, as the writing appears to be on the wall for Trump.
Any reporters going to be interviewing Zelensky that doesn’t want to be involved in dividing the US. I’m surprised he was even allowed in the US now, much less that stupid would meet with him. Oh the optics!

A relatively minor outrage compared to everything else but one that Dems can and should latch onto for political effect is Trump’s repeatedly referring to the Mueller and all these other investigations as the worst witch hunt in history, and in EVER. Think about that. A “witch hunt” is generally taken to mean an unjustified persecution of an undeserving victim or victims, like the Spanish Inquisition, Stalin’s show trials and the Holocaust. Trump is literally claiming that what’s happening to him is worse than these–worse than Jesus’ being railroaded and crucified! Played up properly, this should DESTROY him with people of faith and anyone decent. It’s technically not a crime, except in the moral sense.

I hope Mr. Zelensky understands that Trump has a weird relationship with the man that is willing to destroy Ukraine is they don’t behave like a proper vassal state.
No need to be ashamed of Melania. He can trade her in for a newer model or have her surgically retreaded.
