In Memoriam: A Tribute To The Stupidest Moments Of The Three-Year Unmasking Saga | Talking Points Memo

Pour one out for Devin Nunes. And Lindsey Graham. And Rand Paul.

Pour a great big cold one out for Bill Barr, who, after all of his dutiful political investigating, is now going the way of a Jeff Sessions in the President’s eyes as his carefully publicized unmasking probe collapses in a whimper.

Yes, this article documents how the money of the American people has been wasted in the pursuit of bogus political advantage. Benghazi again. Her emails again. What is there to learn from this? This is how one party does its poor best to cover up its own Teapot Dome scandals. You bury the bad stuff under tons of your own used kitty litter.

I sure hope our next AG allows a robust DOJ to uncover and reveal the truth…all of it.

I would suggest that those of us who wish to move forward after Joe’s victory go about the business of restoring our Republic.

It will be fighting two battles…the aforementioned one and the pesky people on the Right. Given the advantages we have and the daunting tasks we have (economic repair, health care in general, COVID, the Planet and more), the national scene will pit adults versus children.

And adults will prevail.

I enjoyed the irreverent and playful tone of the article, fitting to the GOP absurdity that is the topic. Just have to laugh at these clowns. Kudos!

I dunno if it even makes sense to try to carve it up into separate moments. It was really just one long, seemingly interminable, drawn out primal derp. There is literally nothing about it that was not derp, and even if there was, that part was herp, and I’m not really sure you can draw a line between where the herp ends and the derp begins or vice verse.

It’s like this…

Which part’s herp and which part’s derp? There’s just no way to say.

OT: That cat seems to be doing several things that don’t look to be physically possible, so I can see why they were often associated with witchcraft and such.

Right? I was just about “ETA” that I think it managed to levitate for a fraction of a second somewhere in that approach.

They’ve been wasting great gobs of our taxes sniffing after Hillary Clinton since 1992.

We paid for special prosecutors to go through her lingerie all through W’s first term.

Goddamn they have wasted a fortune trying to bring down Hillary Clinton.

MAKE.THIS.GO.VIRAL!!! Those ‘rubes’ that don’t like facts will disregard it anyway but people that wondered what happened this is illuminating.

Devin Nunes is running again. I just realized that there is very little polling on his race.

In CA-21(Cox), CA-22 (Nunes), and CA-23 (McCarthy), a determinative factor is Hispanic turnout, which traditionally is low, low, low. Things started to shift in 2018, with Cox barely squeezing out Valadao, but no sleeping giant awakened in the primaries this year. Any data on this?

It was an unceremonious end to what has been a long and excruciatingly expensive boondoggle.

FIFY

Can’t wait to see what the actual cost was to taxpayers for the “unmasking scandal” that wasn’t…
