In Latest Stunt, Migrants Dropped Off Outside VP’s Home On Ice Cold Christmas Eve

Busloads of migrants were dropped off near Vice President Kamala Harris’ Washington home during the frigid conditions on Christmas Eve, the latest in a series of political stunts orchestrated by Republican border state governors. This time, it appears Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) is taking responsibility for the exploit.

What an asshole

I would be very happy to hear that Gov. Abbot did a reverse Rocky. i.e. down the steps of the Philadelphia Art museum

Sadly there is a huge swath of the GOP electorate that thinks these stunts are hilarious.

I have a tough time deciding between prick and asshole… Both are more than appropriate.

How can Abbott and DeSantis - and every other person involved in their “migrant relocation” schemes - not be charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, conspiracy to deny civil rights under color of law, and other felonies?

I have no kind or civil words for Abbott.

From Abbott’s press secretary: The governor accepts the compliment and the support. Always remember that Greg is a bigger asshole that that Ron guy from Florida. Donations accepted at Abbottisanass .com

If republicans were serious about immigration they would support an electronic verification system for employers. That they don’t betrays all these pathetic stunts as ham handed attempts to rile the “cultural war” waters.

How long would this paraplegic last in that cold?

I’m not convinced that abject cruelty for the sake of cruelty is a national election winner. Even Donald Trump was smart enough, or had good enough political instincts, to take amorphous, chimera-like social positions in the run-up to 2016 (recall the absolutely mind-bortling fact that most voters then considered Hillary Clinton to be a more extreme Democrat than DJT was an extreme Republican).

Anyway, Greg Abbott is a piece of shit and I wouldn’t deign to wipe my boot on him.

according to a dearly departed friend–you can’t call this guy a prick 'cause that’s part of a man and he doesnn’t deserve that.

I would say that he has correctly assessed what GOP presidential primary voters want to see in their candidates. Pwn the libs, punch the immigrants.

“These migrants willingly chose to go to Washington, D.C., having signed a voluntary consent waiver…"

So, if they had signed a waiver allowing their teeth and fingernails to be pulled out by the root that would have made doing so OK?

Whatever you think of George W. Bush, and I do not think very much of him at all, I have trouble imagining many Texas governors of the past pulling shit like this. Remember like a year or two ago when a bunch of Texans froze to death, Ted Cruz flew to Cancun, etc.?

Yes, indeed.
But if you look at prominent TX GQP politicians, you see that it’s a necessary feature, not bug.
Cruz, Gohmert, Abbot, Dan Patrick, ad nauseum.

Fuck these fucking fucks.

We need to stop calling these assholes “conservative” and we absolutely need to separate them from “anti-woke” as if they’re opposed to something (aside from common decency, that is).

We need to start calling every fucking one of them what they are - bullies. That’s all Republicans are. They are nothing but cruel, dim-witted bullies. And they deserve what every bully deserves - a bone crushing punch in the fucking face.

Castro called him a “heartless POS”. :100::+1::heart:

And demonstrate, by your timing, that you celebrate Christmas and not some other false-religious holiday.

I distinctly remember the “send poor people out into the cold” passage in the Gospels.
