AZ has accepted driver’s license, tribal ID, passport, even two recent utility bills with an address when voting in the past. A lot of Arizonans use the mail-in option. Local elections here require the mail-in method.

True … considering that in Tennessee border agents seized fake CDC cards showing up form China with obvious mistakes. But then …what were our border agents doing that far from an actual border of the country?

Ohio currently accepts the kind of things you are talking about and has for YEARS with NO problems.
The idea that they want to eliminate mail in and drop box voting for almost everyone is a problem for, you guessed it, urban areas. They absolutely loved all of the people standing in line in Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati even when they had no excuse mail in/drop box voting in 2020. They want to make it worse.
It’s blatant suppression.

And major Canadian international airports, as well. You go through US Customs in Montreal or Toronto so you can pick up connecting flights in the States without any hassle…

Honestly I don’t think that requiring state ID is all that bad and according to the polls neither do the majority of Americans including lots of democrats. There is some seriously awful apartheid style voting legislation that is in the works and the right loves to get the public to focus on democrats objection to using state ID as evidence of being unreasonable. Please stop helping them to distract the public from the truly bad things they are proposing.
I bet if black Americans agreed to some sort of 3/5ths compromise SCOTUS and Republicans in Congress might give in and allow meaningful voting rights reform.

They also squashed the early voting window along with getting rid of 90% of mail in voting and drop boxes (now you have to do everything at the board of election during office hours). Those are huge by comparison.
But I disagree with you. I think revising the ID requirements when there are no problems is something to call out.

The real problem is that today’s Rethuglican party is too busy trying to preserve white power along with the other white supremacists. They are scared to death of the coming minority-majority, particularly after the recent release of census data.
And for the record, I am white, and I despise what the GQP is doing in trying to suppress minority voting.
